Did you know that medications are the leading cause of child poisoning in the US (Safe Kids Worldwide) and 1 in 4 teens in the US have misused a prescription drug in their lifetime? (PATS 2013, DrugFree.org)
You can help prevent prescription drug misuse and poisonings by safeguarding your home and properly disposing of your unused or expired medications at the Southgate Mall (by the clock tower) on Saturday, April 28th!
Medications accepted with no questions asked. Syringes, sharps, liquids and pressurized canisters (inhalers for example) will not be accepted.
The Missoula Prescription Drug Task Force is partnering with the Missoula Police Department, Missoula City-County Health Department, MSU Nursing, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy at UM to put on this event.
